CHAIfest 2026
Our inagural one-day event CHAIfest will take place at the Core Technology Facility, University of Manchester on Tuesday 2nd June 2026.
The conference will bring together researchers, clinicians, industry partners and members of the public to explore the rapidly evolving role of causal AI in healthcare. Through keynotes, interactive roundtables, and a lively panel discussion, CHAIfest aims to spark meaningful conversations and build a collaborative community around trustworthy, clinically impactful AI.

Digital Diagnosis Lab
An interactive workshop where medicine meets cutting-edge technology. Working in teams, you’ll dive into realistic patient cases and use AI-powered tools to investigate symptoms, analyse information, and report back your proposed diagnosis. Step into the role of a modern clinical team by using AI. Do you have what it takes to crack the case?
The Code of Care Workshop
Step beyond the tech and into the big ethical questions on AI in healthcare. In this guided session, you’ll explore real-world dilemmas. What happens when the doctor disagrees with AI? Can AI be biased? And who is liable when AI gets it wrong? Your voice will shape the debate. Challenge assumptions, share concerns, and help define what responsible, trustworthy AI in healthcare should look like.
